Description
The Mech-Q Engineering Suite was first released in 1993. It has allowed thousands of AutoCAD users to use its productivity modules and libraries. If you are not familiar with Mech-Q, it is an extensive toolset with hundreds of utilities designed for engineers by engineers.
In early releases, AutoCAD LT has not supported 3rd party routines. However, in the latest Autodesk release, AutoCAD LT 2024 has allowed users to run custom LISP routines like Mech-Q.
AutoCAD LT is well known for its strong focus on 2D drafting and offers a simplified interface for those who don’t require 3D. Since AutoCAD LT also supports Isometric mode, Mech-Q users will appreciate the ISO piping module and create 2D ISO schematics with a 3D-like result.
It is important to note earlier versions of AutoCAD LT can not run Mech-Q, making it exclusive to the 2014 release. If you have an earlier LT version and want to add Mech-Q, upgrade to 2024 or switch to our AutoCAD-like alternative, AViCAD.
