Welcome to Day 6!

Today, we are exploring plotting

Today’s Overview: Plot / Print a drawing in CAD

Plot / Print a drawing in CAD

This is our last day, concluding the mini CAD course. If you’re interested, you can continue learning CAD – see my notes below.

Today, we are exploring the print/plot menu. To print a drawing in CAD, there are four ways: using the plot command, printing the display, printing the extents, or printing a window area.

The command to remember is PLOT.

You can choose the paper size and what you want to print and if you understand how to use paper space, you can also print the layout.

We also explore how to choose different pen assignments and color options for printing.

Consistency in text scaling is important when plotting!

Also, if you want to go deep and learn CAD I am offering a course

The CAD course, ShortcutCAD, contains approximately 10 hours of CAD training, with each session lasting no more than 15 minutes. There is no limit to the number of times you can view the videos, and they never expire.

The course covers different techniques for ensuring consistent text scaling.

Hope to see you there!

Homework Time – Now you try it!

Watch the video and use the spacebar to pause after each step. Explore the commands listed above to draw the paperclip.
