Mech-Q is a software suite for mechanical engineering and design tasks. It integrates with CAD software like AutoCAD, BricsCAD, or IntelliCAD and provides specialized tools in order to create accurate mechanical drawings.
Our Mechanical / Engineering Suite contains the Mechanical, Piping, Ducting, and Structural modules below. Most of our utilities are equipped with 2D ISO & 3D drawing functionality and include a Bill Of Materials.
Mech-Q runs inside your CAD application as an add-on. We support all versions of AutoCAD (2000-latest). We also support Bricscad, Cadian, ProgeCAD, GstarCAD, AcelliCAD, and many other IntelliCAD-based CAD packages.
Mech-Q now runs in the latest AutoCAD version with 12 months of free maintenance included.

2. Choose the version of Mech-Q that is compatible with your CAD software (AutoCAD, IntelliCAD, or BricsCAD).
3. Click on the download link to start the installation process.
4. Save the installer file to your computer (typically either your Downloads Folder or Desktop).
5. Locate the installer file and double-click on it to begin the installation.
6. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process.
7. Once the installation is complete, open your CAD software.
8. Within your CAD software, navigate to the Mech-Q toolbar or ribbon and click on it to access the Mech-Q tools and features.

Note: You must have the appropriate version of your CAD software installed on your computer before attempting to install Mech-Q. Mech-Q is a CAD add-on, so it requires compatible CAD software to function properly.

Note: IntelliCAD applications are also supported but IntelliCAD is not yet available for Monthly or Yearly subscriptions – only Lifetime. AutoCAD LT is not supported, although we have a standalone alternative called AViCAD.
We offer a restricted download with some features disabled. If you would rather try Mech-Q without signing up, it’s no problem. Feel free to download it here. You can always convert it later to a paid plan by contacting us.
Evaluation copies of Mech-Q are provided at no charge, for a 30-day evaluation period.
We encourage you to pass copies of our software to your colleagues for evaluation as well. If you find the program useful and wish to continue using it beyond the evaluation period, a subscription or perpetual license will be required to use the software. Otherwise, you may uninstall the software with no questions asked.

AViCAD is a CAD software that offers a range of features and tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling. AViCAD provides you with a user-friendly interface and is similar to AutoCAD. AViCAD also includes Mech-Q at no added cost.

Single User Licenses
The “User License” allows one copy of the software to be used on any machine by one individual at a time. We allow a single Mech-Q license to be used on up to two computers if the computer is used and owned by the same user and is not connected to your network (ie. Laptop or off-site computer)
Network Licenses
The Network License allows multiple copies of the software to be used at the same time. When a user wishes to run the application they request a license from a central license server. For example, with two floating licenses, any number of users can have the software installed, but only two can use it at a time – the others must wait for them to finish using it.
The Network License option is available for AutoCAD, BricsCAD, AViCAD, and Plate ‘n’ Sheet.

Yes, Mech-Q offers both subscription and perpetual licensing options. For more see our pricing.
The Lifetime option allow you to own your own copy of our software. You’ll have the option each year to upgrade to the latest version. After purchase you’ll also have 12 months to upgrade your version at no cost.
If you have purchased Mech-Q, an application serial code (ASN) is provided within the software at the time of the trial. The ASN can be found on the startup screen and within the Menu under Maintenance and Authorize.
After purchasing our Mech-Q copy down the ASN and email it to us at support @ cadavenue.com. A permanent registration code will be emailed back, which will activate the software and turn off the trial reminder notice on the start-up screen.
After you make your payment you can download Mech-Q right away. You can use Mech-Q in demo mode while we arrange your registration. Please allow 1-3 hours for your registration info to arrive.

Yes, with either our Monthly or Yearly plans, you can upgrade the software or even update to major releases freely, anytime during the subscription. With our Lifetime license you’ll receive free minor updates for 1 year, such as bug fixes and modifications. You’ll also have the option to extend your maintenance before your 1 year maintenance expires to receive major upgrades. Each year AutoCAD releases a major upgrade from one version to another (i.e. from AutoCAD 2024 to AutoCAD 2025) – and if switching AutoCAD versions a Mech-Q upgrade is required. After your 1 year upgrades are available for a nominal fee (about $200). You can continue to use your older version if you do not want to upgrade AutoCAD – just make sure you make a backup of your Mech-Q setup file.
If you need to cancel a Monthly or Yearly plan, just log into your account and you will never be charged for any future payments. Optionally, you can contact us anytime to cancel your account.

Program removal Steps
Step 1 Click the “Start” button, and then click the “Control Panel” icon in the Start menu. This opens the Control Panel window.
Step 2 Click the “Add or Remove Programs” icon in the Control Panel window. This opens the Add or Remove Programs window.
Step 3 Click to select Mech-Q, AViCAD, or Plate ‘n’ Sheet in the “Currently installed programs” list.
Step 4 Click the “Remove” button in the Control Panel window. This starts the uninstall wizard.
Step 5 Follow the prompts in the uninstall wizard. Close the wizard when it finishes, and then close the Control Panel to complete the process

Yes, you can upgrade your monthly plan only. Within the first 12 months of signing up you can switch from a Monthly to a Lifetime Plan. 1/2 of your payments already made can be applied towards the list price of AViCAD. Please note, at this time you cannot downgrade from a Yearly to a Monthly.
