Hiding your 3D CAD drawing in paperspace just takes a couple of steps.
First position the drawing in Paperspace. Then using the Properties pallet you can hide the model before sending it to the printer.
We are using AViCAD here. Its a AutoCAD alternative, which is 1/8 the cost.
